Research, Data & Evaluation

How does Yoga 4 Change provide a purpose-driven yoga curriculum?

Through data of course! Check it out: Quarterly Reports, Final Study Reports, Student Testimonies

Data are what allows Yoga 4 Change to be a results-driven organization that is motivated by the change we see in our students.

Before and after every class we collect self-reported data from participants to ensure that we are creating impact and participants can see their physical and mental health changes in real time. Self-reported data collected by Yoga 4 Change has historically proven that after ONE class, participants report a statistically significant decrease in stress, statistically significant decrease in physical pain, and statistically significant improvement in mood.

In addition, our research team conducts ongoing program evaluation exploring the impact of our curricula. We study the effect of our programming on a variety of measures including emotional awareness and regulation, self-compassion, mindfulness, and posttraumatic growth. We also collect feedback from our students on their experience of the program.

Our goals – ensure Yoga 4 Change is offering the best evidence-informed, trauma-informed programming and tell the story of this incredible organization.
