She has worked in government and nonprofit finance for 17 years, and is currently the Chief Financial Officer of the Historic Florida Theatre in Jacksonville, FL. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Finance from the University of Central Florida and has her Masters of Business Administration from Florida State University. Outside of her professional career, Megan is currently certified as an RYT-500 yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance, and will be certified RYT-500 in November of this year.  Megan’s passion for yoga began over 20 years ago when she found physical relief from pregnancy and a deep community connection after taking her first prenatal yoga class.  That one class has blossomed into a life-changing journey through the physical, mental and philosophical practices of yoga.  She currently teaches classes in power vinyasa, yin and restorative yoga, as well as pranayama (breathwork) and meditation.  She is a firm believer in the immense benefits of living a yogic lifestyle and is deeply aligned with the Yoga 4 Change mission to folster holistic wellbeing, resilience and transformation for individuals in underserved communities.

Megan spends her time teaching and practicing yoga, trying to maintain a regular strength training routine, and spending time being active with her partner Chris and her 3 children aged 21, 17 and 10.  Her favorite activities include hanging out at the beach, baking, cooking, reading, and going to as many concerts as possible.
