Mary Keel

Mary Keel is a Certified 500-Hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher with over nine years of experience teaching yoga and mindfulness across South Florida. As a survivor of sexual trauma and a Gold Star sister, Mary brings a deep sense of empathy and purpose to her work, empowering others to find healing and resilience through yoga. Mary began teaching with Yoga 4 Change in August of 2021 and has since served as a Lead Yoga Teacher, mentoring and onboarding new instructors, coordinating community programs, managing timelines, and building partnerships rooted in trust and collaboration. She has dedicated her career to making yoga accessible to populations that need it most — from women in recovery at Jefferson Reaves House and survivors of human trafficking at Camillus House, to youth at Dade Prep Academy and participants at the Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center. One of her most meaningful projects was teaching mindfulness to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the first initiative of its kind for the organization.

She completed the Ashtanga Practitioners Intensive at Miami Life Center and maintains a dedicated Ashtanga practice. Guided by both personal experience and professional dedication, Mary believes in yoga’s power to restore connection, resilience, and hope—on and off the mat. With over two decades of experience in marketing, communications, and program development, she brings a unique blend of creativity and leadership to every space she serves.

When not on her mat, you can find Mary at the beach, having dinner with friends, spending timein nature, and always listening to music.
