Alexandra “Alex” Ramirez is the Strategic Impact and Engagement Manager for Yoga 4 Change statewide.
Alex is a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT), E-RYT 500/YACEP yoga instructor, and mental health advocate. She holds a Master’s degree in Yoga Therapy from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH). In her current role, she drives data-informed strategy, grant development, and digital storytelling while cultivating relationships with partners and stakeholders to amplify Yoga 4 Change’s reach and impact. Previously, she led programming and community engagement in South Florida, where her team delivered more than 1,800 trauma-informed yoga classes to over 14,000 youth and adults.
She has taught over 2,800 hours of yoga since 2017 and has 1,500+ formal training hours. Her certifications include Trauma-Informed Yoga, Children’s Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Yoga for Athletes, and Adaptive Yoga. Her journey to the mat comes from her own struggles with anxiety, depression, and substance-related challenges, and she is passionate about offering these tools to her community as an alternative and whole-istic path to cope with life’s twists and turns.
