Alexandra Ramirez

Alexandra “Alex” Ramirez is the Director of Programs and Community Outreach Specialist for Yoga 4 Change South Florida.

Alex is a non-profit leader, E-RYT200/YACEP yoga instructor, and mental health advocate.  In her current role, she oversees all programming and community engagement for Yoga 4 Change – South Florida region. Since 2019, her team of instructors have bridged the gap between primary and supplemental wellness and have delivered over 1,800 trauma-informed yoga classes to over 14,000 youth and adults in South Florida alone.

She holds a degree in Criminal Justice & Sociology and has taught over 1,800 hours of yoga since 2017. She is currently pursuing her 300-Hour level certification and is trained in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Children’s Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Yoga for Athletes and Adaptive Yoga. Her journey to the mat comes from her own struggles with anxiety, depression, and substance-use and she is passionate about offering these tools to her community as an alternative and holistic path to cope with life’s lemons.

When she’s not on the yoga mat, you can find her spending time with family, reading, or listening to a good podcast.
