After one year as Lead Yoga Teacher, Kim Simon is to be promoted as Program Director of Northeast Florida at Yoga 4 Change.

Simon graduated from Yoga Teacher Training in March 2020, began onboarding as a Yoga 4 Change teacher in June 2020 and became a Lead Teacher by July 2021. She has now transitioned from part-time to full-time as Program Director of Northeast Florida and will manage programs in Duval, St. Johns, Putnam, Nassau and Clay County.

The role was previously held by Shiva Thompson until she transitioned into Program Director of Central Florida, managing the Tampa Bay and Orlando regions.

“We’re excited for Kim to be joining the team full-time,” said Thompson, “As a lead teacher she has been an invaluable and grounding force for the NE FL team. I have no doubt she’ll do great as the new Program Manager and we can’t wait to see her succeed!”

Previously as lead teacher Kim worked to onboard and manage yoga instructors, as well as, spread education and awareness about the organization and their mission. New responsibilities as Program Director will include planning and overseeing execution of programs and operations while meeting objectives of Yoga 4 Change and expanding programs to serve more individuals.

When asked about her promotion, Simon said, “I’m beyond excited for the opportunity to move into this role and looking forward to making an impact for northeast Florida.”
