Yoga 4 Change is offering two weekly family yoga classes to the active duty and veteran communities in Northeast Florida. Classes are free to participants and made possible by generous funding from Humana Military. This collective impact project includes weekly classes at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone and at the USO Jacksonville. Classes are designed to meet the unique needs of active duty, veterans, their families and support systems. Children ages 1 to 4 years old are invited to join, reducing the childcare barriers to wellness and social connection that many military families face.

Family yoga classes were designed based on feedback from military and veteran families. “We are grateful to offer additional free classes to the veteran and military community,” said Jacksonville Yoga 4 Change Program Director Shiva Thompson. “By working together, these additional partnerships will help us better meet the needs of Jacksonville military families.”

The free Tuesday class, 1500-1600, is at the USO Jacksonville, 2560 Mayport Road, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233. Individuals can sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050b48a4aa2cabf58-family1

The free Thursday class, 0900-1000, is at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone, 7011 AC Skinner Parkway, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Reservations are not required for this location.

Free classes will continue weekly at the two locations through August 30, 2022.
