Yoga 4 Change cancels classes on Election Day
Yoga 4 Change has canceled classes on Election Day, November 3. The organization, with consistent operations in North Florida, South Florida, Tampa Bay and Central Florida, will not offer classes after 8am Election Day. In addition, Yoga 4 Change gave all their employees and contractors the day off to encourage individuals to participate in their civic right and vote!
Currently, Yoga 4 Change averages 47 weekly virtual yoga classes across the state of Florida, employing 5 full-time, 1 part-time, and contracting with approximately 50 different individuals: yoga teachers, researchers, and evaluators. This day off is an encouragement for those working with Yoga 4 Change to take time for self-care, and to ensure everyone has the time to vote, rest, or volunteer for local voting initiatives.
