Having been raised as a dancer, Jyothi discovered the practice of yoga in 2005. As a pathway back to self-acceptance and embodiment, Jyothi used yoga as a central tool in her healing from a decade-long battle with disordered eating. While living in Santa Fe, NM her practice deepened through her interaction with yoga styles ranging from Restorative to Ashtanga.  In 2010, Jyothi made the decision to leave her career as an education policy analyst to become a yoga teacher.  Jyothi obtained her "Asanas and Pranayama Teaching Certification" in early 2011 from the Integral Yoga Institute, Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville. She attended workshops with Dijon Carew and Leticia Marquez and completed extensive training in Raja Yoga with Swami Dyananda. She is a constant student of Sanskrit, meditation, and self-inquiry.  Jyothi continues to study in the Integral Yoga methodology, and has also attended workshops with Kathryn Budig, Taylor Harkness, Tiffany Cruikshank, and Jason Crandell, among others. In 2016, she completed a certification in Yin Yoga led by international teacher Biff Mithoefer.  Off the mat, Jyothi uses the lessons of Yoga to be a partner to her husband, Bo, and co-parent their two lively children.
