David

David started his yoga journey in 2007. Yoga was recommended as a way to work through a stressful time in his life as a way to create a better sense of work/life balance. Like many yogis he started practicing where he had a gym membership. There, the focus was on a physical practice. In 2010 he was introduced to the spiritual side of yoga at a traditional yoga studio. With what he had already learned about breath and the shapes, he began to explore the other limbs of yoga toward the pursuit of spiritual bliss. He feels that led him towards a whole new practice.

He met Angela Centers at a crowd funding event in 2016 and when he heard the story of Yoga 4 Change and the populations they served, he made the decision to become a yoga teacher so he could share the experience of transformation that it was for him.

He is an RYT 200 certified teacher and has been trained in trauma informed yoga with the nonprofit organization Yoga 4 Change.
